My sister and her two kids (Maddie and Caden) flew in from VA last Friday. We have had a great time with them over the past 5 days. It has been a whirlwind of a trip with playing here, visiting there...time has went by way too fast. When they arrived on Friday the airline lost their luggage but said that it was on the next flight in two hours so we grabbed a late lunch and headed back to the airport to retrieve the luggage. When it was all said and done we got home after 6:00. Saturday we went to see Disney On Ice. The kids loved it but half way through Raigan spiked a fever and cried about her ear so off to Urgent Care. She had an ear infection...the first one since the tubes last summer! Thank goodness for antibiotics because within 12 hours there was a huge difference with how she felt and looked! Sunday was Easter so we enjoyed a day of coloring eggs, hunting eggs, and a yummy dinner cooked by Nathan. Monday we grabbed some lunch then decided to go the Build-A-Bear to make a bunny that will travel back and forth to the east and west coast. Each child gets 3 months with the bunny and documents the places "Peaches" visits in her travel journal. Needless to say the kids are so excited about this. The birth of Peaches was a group effort and all decisions were agreed upon. I must admit I was rather impressed :-) After Build-A-Bear we went to the splash pad, grabbed ice-cream, with a final stop at the neighborhood park. Tuesday was a day at the dinosaur museum in downtown Mesa, followed by a LONG stop at Chucky Cheeses..which BTW was empty @ 1:30 so it was great!!! We ended the day at another local park. We only have one more day to enjoy with some of our VA family members. We will be so sad to see them go but we have plenty of great pictures to remember this amazing and fun visit!
