My sick little boy!!!

About 3 weeks ago I was brushing Cohen's teeth and I noticed his tonsils were huge. He hadn't complained of a sore throat and had no other symptoms but off to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Urgent Care we went. The diagnoses there was rather simple...post nasal drip was irritating his tonsils. I wasn't satisfied with that diagnosis so the next morning I contacted his pediatrician and asked for her opinion. She was confident with the diagnosis since no other symptoms were present. Last Wednesday Cohen spiked a high fever and tonsils were still HUGE. I then took him in to our paediatricians office. They did a strep test, which was negative, and a mono test which was inconclusive but she had enough information to conclude that there is an acute bodily infection. So we had to go to Sonora Labs for more blood work. She did prescribe steroids for him to start...which, by the way, has made him mean as a snake! The doctor just called me (yes, today on Saturday) to tell me the mono test is negative as well. We are now starting antibiotics and have been advised to return to the doctors office Monday morning. We still don't really know what's going on with him but I just hope the antibiotics work. Check out his tonsils in the pics below. I took them yesterday (Friday)
