We recently went camping at Apache Lake and had a great time. We got a late start on Saturday, for those of you the know Nathan are not surprise with that statement, but we setup camp and headed out on the lake for a ride. Once back at our campsite we cooked a gourmet dinner which consisted of hamburgers with chips. After dinner we made smores, which was Cohen's favorite part of camping. Getting ready for bed came right after we discovered a skunk had joined us. Our dog warned us that there was an unexpected visitor but he soon scurried off into the woods...okay maybe not the woods but rather bushes, very few trees and a lot cactus but we'll just call them "the woods". Now sleeping in a tent with two little ones was rather interesting but it worked and off to bed we went at around 11:30! The kids were up and ready to start a new day at 5:30 AM!!!! We rode around the lake, I did some skiing (which reminded me that I am gettting old), rode the tube, and enjoyed the scenery. Our final meal, lunch, was made and we packed up and headed home. I had never camped prior to this experience. I must say we had a lot of fun! Cohen wants to go back every weekend, and Raigan asks to go night-night in the tent.

wow what a blast! we love camping but we have never tried it with kids we hope to go soon. funny how kids could go back to nature and not miss tv or toys when the world is all around them

Im thinking you guys should just buy a huge rv and live in it...are you ever home anymore??? haha!
